How quickly you progress will have little to do with how perfectly you do the poses, but instead on how well you understand what you are trying to accomplish in each pose. You know you will have honestly accomplished your goal by how supple your muscles and joints have become in comparison to when you started. In yoga there is no standard of comparison. Perfect is the best you can do today.

I'm not
very flexible. Can I still do yoga?
Yes! This is a common misconception. Yoga is practiced to increase flexibility
from where you are now. With each practice you become stronger, more balanced,
flexible and focused. All that matters is that you try the right way, work
to your best ability and you will receive 100% of the benefits.
Is
it a cardiovascular workout and can I lose weight?
Yes, no matter what your level of fitness you will find all hot yoga styles
very challenging. With regular practice you can lose inches, develop muscle
tone and become stronger and healthier than with other forms of exercise.

Why is
the room heated?
The room is heated to warm your muscles and allow you to stretch more deeply
and safely. The heat prevents injuries and promotes sweating which releases
toxins from your body.
How much
water should I bring?
You should drink plenty of water everyday, through out the day, this is
better than just drinking water before or during class. At least a liter
of water per class is recommended.
Can
I do yoga with an injury or illness?
Please let us know about any illnesses or injuries you may have. You can
do the yoga, but some modifications may be necessary. Yoga is also known
for its healing benefits. Most illness or injury is helped by yoga practice.
Taking care to be aware that during those times you work at an adjusted
pace.
How often
should I practice yoga?
As often as possible! Every day if your schedule allows! The more often
you practice the more you reap the benefits. However most dedicated students
practice 3-6 times a week. You'll find that you WANT to do more yoga, it's
fun! The investment of time and effort are returned to you tenfold.
